Hi,

I have problems with groundhogs where I live (no farm). I have no trouble
catching them in a cage like trap using an apple as bait. I have been doing
this for years.

This year, I have caught over twice as many as in the past. I am tired of
relocating them, which amounts to moving the "problem" from one place to
anther. I no longer want to relocate them. I want to get rid of the
"problem" permanently. Note: Their "home" is on a neighbor's property, but
they come into my yard.

Do you know of a powerful poison that I can put into an apple, or other
food they like?

I want to trap them as I always have, but I will wait until the poison does
it's "job" before I dispose it.

Thank You in Advance, John

we just bought a sonic deterrent , it sends a vibration/noise down into
the ground every 30 seconds.
we got it at Harbour Freight.
I'll report back on it's effectiveness.

Hi John and the group;

Wouldn't rat poison work? I've just used it on moles and that worked well.

Too bad it didn't do in those magpies. I put ground rat poison pellets in
dog food, placed it up high so no feril cats or dogs could get into it, and
found that the bate was gone without a reduction in birds.
