on our recent home inspection we have both tim-bor (disodium
octaborate tetrahydrate) and copper green (copper naphthenate 20)
listed as potential pesticides. the inspectors advice was to use tim-
bor.

i did a bit of reading and timbor is a borate like borax. its very
safe compared to other treatments. but i can't find anyone that
carries it. where do you find this stuff? i'm in a large city.

what most of the hardware stores i talked to do carry is copper green,
which is flamable and more toxic. this is what the pest control person
told me to use.

why wouldn't everyone just use tim-bor? and why can't i find it?

oh, we are treating wood boring beetles, some termites, and some white
fungus. san francisco.

thanks
